Why the apology ??????

At a time when our president and other politicians tend to apologize for our country's prior actions, here's a refresher on how some of our former patriots handled negative comments about our country.

These are good

JFK'S
Secretary of State, Dean Rusk, was in France in the early 60's when
DeGaulle decided to pull out of NATO. DeGaulle said he wanted all US
military out of France as soon as possible.

Rusk responded, "Does that include those who are buried here?"

DeGaulle did not respond.

You could have heard a pin drop.

When in England ,at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the
Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of
'empire building' by George Bush.

He answered by saying, "Over the years, the United States has sent many of
its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom
beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for
in return is enough to bury those that did not
return."

You could have heard a pin drop.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There was a conference in France where a number of international engineers
were taking part, including French and American. During a break,
one of the French engineers came back into the room saying, "Have you
heard the latest dumb stunt Bush has done? He has sent an aircraft
carrier to Indonesia to help the tsunami victims. What does he
intend to do, bomb them?"
A Boeing engineer stood up and replied quietly: "Our carriers have three
hospitals on board that can treat several hundred people; they are
nuclear powered and can supply emergency electrical power to
shore facilities; they have three cafeterias with the capacity to
feed 3,000 people three meals a day, they can produce several thousand
gallons of fresh water from sea water each day, and they carry half a
dozen helicopters for use in transporting victims and injured to and
from their flight deck. We have eleven such ships; how many does France have?
"You could have heard a pin drop.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A U.S. Navy Admiral was attending a naval conference that included
Admirals from the U.S., English, Canadian, Australian and French
Navies At a cocktail reception, he found himself standing with a large
group of officers that included personnel from most of those countries.
Everyone was chatting away in English as they sipped their drinks but a
French admiral suddenly complained that, whereas Europeans learn many
languages, Americans learn only English. He then asked, "Why is it that
we always have to speak English in these conferences rather than
speaking French?"

Without hesitating, the American Admiral replied, "Maybe it's because the
Brit's, Canadians, Aussie's and Americans arranged it so you wouldn't
have to speak German."

You could have heard a pin drop.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
AND THIS STORY FITS RIGHT IN WITH THE ABOVE...
Robert Whiting, an elderly gentleman of 83, arrived in Paris by plane. At French Customs, he took a few minutes to locate his passport in his carry on.
"You have been to France before, monsieur?" the customs officer asked
sarcastically.
Mr. Whiting admitted that he had been to France previously.
"Then you should know enough to have your passport ready."
The American said, "The last time I was here, I didn't have to show it."
"Impossible.. Americans always have to show their passports on arrival in France !"
The American senior gave the Frenchman a long hard look. Then he
quietly explained, ''Well, when I came ashore at Omaha Beach on D-Day in
1944 to help liberate this country, I couldn't find a single Frenchmen
to show a passport to."
You could have heard a pin drop.
It's easy to dismiss individual programs that benefit
non-citizens until they're put together and this
picture emerges. Someone did a lot of
research to put together all of this data. Often
these programs are buried within other programs
making them difficult to find.
A Real Eye Opener...
WHY is the USA BANKRUPT?
Informative, and mind boggling!
You think the war in Iraq was
costing us too much? Read this:
We have been hammered with the propaganda that it was the Iraq war
and the war on terror that is bankrupting us.
I now find that to be RIDICULOUS.
I hope the following 14 reasons are forwarded over and over again until they are read so many times that the reader gets sick of reading them. I also have included the URL's for verification of all the following facts...
1. $11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year by state governments.
Verify at: http://www.fairus.org/site/PageServer?pagename=iic_immigrationissuecenters7fd8
2. $2.2 Billion dollars a year is spent on food assistance programs such as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal aliens.
3. $2.5 Billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal aliens. Verify at: http://www.cis.org/articles/2004/fiscalexec.HTML
4. $12 Billion dollars a year is
spent on primary and secondary school education for children here illegally and they cannot speak a
word of English!
5. $17 Billion dollars a year is spent for education for the American-born children of illegal aliens, known as anchor babies.
Verify at http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANscriptS/0604/01/ldt.01.HTML
6. $3 Million Dollars a DAY is spent to incarcerate llegal aliens. Verify at:
7. 30% percent of all Federal Prison inmates are llegal aliens.
8. $90 Billion Dollars a year is spent on illegal aliens for Welfare & social services by the American taxpayers.
Verify at: http://premium.cnn.com/TRANSCIPTS/0610/29/ldt.01.HTML
9. $200 Billion dollars a year in suppressed American wages are caused by the illegal aliens.
Verify at: http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSC%20RI%20PTS/0604/01/ldt.01.HTML
10. The illegal aliens in the United
States have a crime rate that's two and a half times that of white non-illegal aliens. In particular, their children are going to make a huge
additional crime problem in the US.
Verify at: http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANscriptS/0606/12/ldt.01.HTML
11. During the year of 2005 there were 4 to 10 MILLION illegal aliens that crossed our Southern Border also, as many as 19,500 illegal aliens
from Terrorist Countries. Millions of pounds of drugs, cocaine, meth, heroin and marijuana, crossed into the US from the Southern border.
Verify at: Homeland Security Report:
12. The National policy Institute estimated that the total cost of mass deportation would be between
$206 and $230 billion or an average cost of between $41 and $46 billion
annually over a five year period.
Verify
at: http://www.nationalpolicyinstitute.org/PDF/deportation.PDF
13. In 2006, illegal aliens sent home $45 BILLION in remittances to their countries of origin.
Verify at: http://www.rense.com/general75/niht.htm
14. The Dark Side of Illegal Immigration: Nearly One million sex crimes Committed by Illegal Immigrants In The United States .
Verify at:
http://www.drdsk.com/articleshtml
The total cost is a whopping $338.3 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR AND IF YOU'RE LIKE ME, HAVING TROUBLE UNDERSTANDING THIS AMOUNT OF MONEY; IT IS $338,300,000,000.00 WHICH WOULD BE ENOUGH TO STIMULATE THE ECONOMY FOR THE CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY.
Are we THAT stupid?
YES, FOR LETTING THOSE IN THE U.S. CONGRESS GET AWAY WITH LETTING THIS HAPPEN YEAR AFTER YEAR!!!!!
If this doesn't bother you then just delete the message. If, on the other hand, it does raise the hair on the back of your neck, I hope you forward it to every legal resident in the United States AND PLEASE REMEMBER IT AT THE NEXT ELECTIONS!!!
Call-Around Results
Special thanks to one of our State Delegates, Curt Morris (Previously Our Precinct Chair) who did a call-around to previous caucus attendees get input from everyone in regards to who they would like to see represent the Republican Party in November. Here were his findings:
----------------------------
"All:
Erik requested some feedback from my own telephone calls to people in our precinct. I wasn’t able to reach everyone. But so far the results are thus:
· U.S. Senate 12 -3 against Bennett; an even split between Cherilyn Eager and Mike Lee, with a couple for Bridgewater. I’ve watched Lee and Eager and Bridgewater closely and think they are equal on enthusiasm and conservative values. I think Lee has more constitutional knowledge, but Eager is a close second, but has more experience. I have a good vibe about Eager unless I hear more from the precinct.
· U.S. House – unanimous for Rob Bishop.
· Governor: 9-2 for Gary Herbert.
· Utah Senate: even split between Knudson and Jeff McNeill. Many liked Jeff’s speech at the County convention. I’m unsure on this one.
Any more input is always appreciated!
Curt Morris"
----------------------
Thanks again, Curt. We appreciate you going the extra mile to ensure our Precinct is represented as accurately as possible.
SB 1070 Arizona's Bill to Enforce Immigration Laws
Recently, there has been huge debate as to whether there Utah should enact a similar bill to SB 1070. Everyone seems to have an opinion, but few have actually read the bill. Proponents say the bill simply just enacts Federal Laws already in place to be utilized at the state level. People whom oppose the bill say that it violates Federal laws by requiring people to carry birth certificates and documentation just in case they are asked if they are legal.
While many are forming opinions based on what they see and read in the news, etc. We are giving everyone the opportunity to be truly informed. Read the bill for yourself and decide: http://www.azleg.gov/legtext/49leg/2r/bills/sb1070s.pdf . Would you feel a similar bill in Utah would be a positive or negative thing? Or, would solutions such as stronger penalties for businesses who give jobs to undocumented workers be better? Or, should Utah's legislators focus first on taking away programs offered that give perks to illegal immigrants? There are a number of topics to debate, but what is your opinion of this bill?
